Nearly 200 people melted the winter away and jumped into spring at Moncton Northeast’s first ever Spring Thaw Kitchen Party. The event was held last Friday night at the Lions Centre in Moncton.
Those attending enjoyed the tunes of Daniel Hebert & Friends and a delicious buffet supplied by Cheers Catering Services. Incidentally one of Daniel’s friends was Gerry Saulnier, Owner of member-firm G.S. Framing Contractor.
Several door prizes including a 50/50 were given away during the evening. Stacey Stewart with the Gem-Tec group shared the pot of $460 in the 50/50 draw. The other $230 was donated to the Steps for Life campaign which is run by Threads of Life. Threads of Life’s mandate is to assist families that have been impacted by a workplace tragedy. Two overnight accommodation packages were offered as prizes. The one night at the Ramada Crystal Palace was won by Nathalie Waddell (Modern Construction) and the night at the new Hotel Shediac went to Amber Richards (Economy Glass).
Plans are already being made for next year’s events. Watch for details to be announced and mark it on your calendar.
