On December 3, Moncton Northeast held its annual Christmas Membership Dinner. As has been the custom for the last couple of years a Silent Auction was held in conjunction with the Dinner. This year’s event saw over 100 participants.
The Building for the Future Fund was the beneficiary of the monies raised through the auction. Along with the proceeds of a 50/50 draw the fund increased by $2643.50 as a result of the evening’s activities. These funds will be used to assist local schools with the purchase consumables and small hand tools for their vocational programs related to the construction trades. Since 2009 the Fund has distributed, in cash or in kind, nearly $50,000 to schools from Moncton to Campbellton.
